Ramble was founded by Alex Pundyk (CEO) and Alex McGourty (CTO) in 2023 after asking a simple question: why was it so hard to insure our music gear?

That first question and the many since have guided our mission at Ramble. We're creating the very best tools and services to unlock musicianship—and it starts with protecting gear. Today, Ramble is a first-of-its-kind collection and insurance platform for musical instruments.

Early into exploring what Ramble could become, we were introduced to the partnerships team at D'Addario and found a dream match. One of the most influential names in music shared our vision for how we could better support musicians and their gear needs. In late 2025, we released a white-labeled version of Ramble to the D'Addario loyalty members in Players Circle—catalyzing an already powerful community, and helping musicians to manage and protect the gear that matters most to them.

We were equally fortunate to find partners in Bolton Street Programs, a leader in specialized risk programs with decades of experience in the music industry and some of the closest carrier relationships in the insurance industry. Ramble now pairs its next-level tech with the world-class underwriting and service that Bolton Street has brought to its clients for decades. Ramble is a licensed insurance brokerage in all 50 states, appointed and backed by Accelerant Specialty Insurance Company.

The name Ramble captures two things: the intimacy of a musical gathering and the spirit of travel underlying the craft. As former touring artists, forever gear heads and lifelong tech enthusiasts, we feel humbled and uniquely equipped to combine our skills and serve the community we love. We have big ideas for what we can do next to help musicians connect, exchange, protect and create.
